From the Tolazzi shelter, return to the junction with the forest road for the Lambertenghi-Romanin shelter and continue straight ahead, following the road uphill, or the CAI 143 trail that cuts across the hairpin bends, leading to Forcella Morareet and the Marinelli shelter. Go down the opposite side of the pass following the signposted CAI Trail No. 148 along the road that passes near Casera Plotta. When you reach a crossroads, turn right along the road (signposted CAI Trail No. 175) which leads to Casera Collina Grande at a height of 1,522 m above sea level. From the Casera, continue along CAI Trail No. 175 which, at a high altitude, goes deep into the heart of the Chiaula Valley, crossing the Rio Chiaula stream, leading to the ruins of Casera Chiaula Bassa at a height of 1,397 m above sea level. Continuing to follow signposted CAI Trail No. 175 you climb up to the remains of Casera Chiaula Alta at a height of 1,548 m above sea level where, leaving the signposted CAI Trail No. 175, you turn left along a track and the subsequent white road which leads to the Agriturismo Malga Lavareit holiday farm at a height of 1,470 m above sea level.
